Dr. Kate Nematollahi has more than 20 years experience in General Family Dentistry. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from The University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. After graduating, Dr. Nematollahi continued to build on her skills and knowledge by attending a 2-year post-doctorate program, Advanced Education in General Dentistry, at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. This program had a strong emphasis in cosmetic dental procedures. As a participant in an exchange program with the University of Zurich in Switzerland, she received special training in utilizing Cerec computerized technology to fabricate ceramic restorations. Upon her return to the University of Michigan, she assisted in 2 clinical research projects using Cerec.
Dr. Nematollahi's highest priorities are to provide quality dental care tailored to her patients' individualized needs. She uses the latest proven effective technology, materials, and techniques modern dentistry has to offer in order to maintain the best oral health for her patients.
She is always keeping up with the best and latest developments by reading professional journals and attending continuing education courses. Every year she gives presentations at local schools and she encourages and mentors young women interested in pursuing careers in dentistry. On a personal note, she has been married for 25 years and has 2 beautiful children. She spends her free time with her family and friends, and enjoys reading and traveling. Her interests include Bikram Yoga and learning to ski.
