Layla Foster attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. Previously, she attended Howard Community College where she received her Associates Degree in general studies with a science emphasis. Layla is a licensed Dental Radiograph Technician and is certified to administer local anesthesia to keep patients comfortable during deep cleaning procedures.
Layla has participated in multiple volunteer externships, offering dental hygiene services to people in need. She worked at the University of Maryland Dental School clinic, Veterans Medical Center and Kernan Hospital. She has also engaged children in learning about proper oral health care by teaching techniques at local elementary schools. Layla is very passionate about preventative oral health in connection to the oral-systemic link, and practices individualized care to every patient.
On a personal note, she grew up riding and training horses, as well as, dancing for her school teams. Layla enjoys traveling, volleyball, snowboarding, wakeboarding and spending time with her family and friends.
